I’m very lucky that my wife puts up with any of this, let alone participates in our events. For the Gold Rush party alone for almost two years we had three-quarters of our house facaded on the outside so that no light came in any of the windows, and the last six months before the party we removed all the furniture from the living room and dining room and moved it in our master bedroom and some in my office so that we could make the rooms (our saloon) completely themed. What a trooper! Our crew is amazing. We are so lucky to have such talented and committed friends! We try like crazy to keep these people well-fed, happy, and having a good time. In the end it’s a lot of work. Some of our crew doesn’t even live in California and makes several trips here and stays a few weeks in the end when they could be taking a vacation somewhere. I am so utterly grateful for and humbled by the generosity of these folks. Ryan has been helping me out since 1999. Neal and Renee have been with us since the Zombie Party. My daughters have been great artists and also put up with their crazy dad!
